Worldview Foundations research team

Research Assistant & Social media coordinator

This team collaborates on research projects for the Skeptic Research Center. I help assess the relative utility of research methodologies, construct surveys using Qualtrics, and analyze quantitative data using SPSS. I co-authored a popular magazine article with the other members of the team that communicated research findings to a general audience. I also manage the SRC’s social media.

The very first day I attended a meeting I volunteered to serve as the club secretary, a position I held for a year and half before becoming president. My responsibilities included guiding the direction of the club, planning and leading meetings on thought provoking subjects, and working with other officers to create an accepting, diverse, and contemplative space for discussion.

UT Dallas Mock Trial

Travelling Competitor

I dedicated a significant portion of my time freshman year to Mock Trial working on arguments, rehearsing character witnesses, studying case law, and travelling for competitions. One of these trips was to Memphis for a national competition since my team placed in the state tournament! Although mock trial contributed to my decision to stop pursuing the law field, I owe my exhilarating introduction to university, a vastly more diverse and open-minded space than any I had experienced prior, to my role in the organization and my intelligent, hilarious, and inspiring teammates.
